Winning start for Barrys, Newage and Master Paints in Winter Polo cup

Hamza Mawaz and Cruz Losada steers Master Paints/Rizvi’s 5-1½ victory over Army Red. Hamza and Cruz both scored a brace each while Farooq Amin Sufi contributed 1 from Master Paints. Army Red had a half goal handicap advantage but they could not use it in their favor and Mighuel Luis Duggan hammered the only goal from them.

The second but one sided encounter was observed between Barry’s and Diamond Paints where Barry’s bashed Diamond Paints by 5½-2 goals. Barry’s started the match with good pace as they already had one and half goal handicap advantage and then Silvestre Garrose came up as the start of the day from and banged a hat-trick while Raja Mikael Sami scored the remaining one goal. Macos Araya slammed both the goals from Diamond Paints.

One and half goal handicap advantage was too good for Newage/Guard Group as they rotted Army Whites in a nail-biter by 4½-4 in the third match. Taimur Ali Malik banged in 2 goals while Salvador Ulloa hammered remaining one goal. Major Omer Minhas, Brig Zulfiqar, Major Haseeb Minhas and Ignasio Negri contributed 1 goal each but half goal done the trick for Newage/Guard Group.

Master Paints Black to take against Army Red in the only match to be played tomorrow.
