Hissam leads Black Horse to victory in Samba Bank Polo Championship

Hissam Ali Haider stuck brilliant 9 goals for Black Horse Paints while Sufi M Amir and Sufi M Haris contributed 1 goal each in a one sided match. Black Horse Paints defeated Guard group with a big margin of 11-4 in the only match of day 2 of Samba Bank Lahore Open Polo Championship 2017. Ahmed Nawaz Tiwana hit 2 goals while Taimur Mawaz Khan and Abdul Rehman Monnoo added 1 goal each for Guard Group.

The match was all Hissam’s show as he displayed his outstanding polo skills and ruled throughout the match. He time and again attacked on opponent’s post and kept on scoring the goals in all four chukkers and showed his dominance in the game as Hissam and Black Horse Paints started the match on a high note.

In the first chukker, Hissam opened his and team’s account with beautiful field goal which was soon equalized by Abdul Rehman Monnoo from Guard Group. Hissam’s pace was unmatchable as he banged a quartet and extended the lead to 5-1. Ahmed Nawaz Tiwana then converted 1 more goal to bridge the lead to 5-2 in the last minutes of second chukker.

Third chukker was once again Hissam’s show as he hammered a hat-trick and strength his team’s lead to undeniable 8-2. Taimur Mawaz Khan hit a goal and reduced the margin to 8-3. In the final chukker, Black Horse Paints scored one more hat-trick but this time Along with Hissam, two brother Sufi Harish and Sufi Amir contributed 1 goal each. In the dying moments of the match Ahmed Nawaz Tiwana struck one more goal from Guard Group but that was not enough to match the level of Hissam Ali Haider and Black Horse Paints.

Two matches will be contested today (Thursday), as Diamond Paints will face Allied Bank challenge in the first encounter of the day at 2:00 pm while Barry’s will play against Future Developers/Rijas in the second encounter at 3:00 pm.
