Newage, Remington Polo Ahead with the winning start
Newage and Remington Polo won their opening matches of the Seasons Canola Polo Cup played at the Lahore Polo Club ground. Newage defeated Sherwood while Remington Polo outclassed Guard Group.
The first match on the day 1 was played between Newage and Sherwood. Newage easily thrashed Sherwood by 12-6.5. Shah Shyml Alam from Newage scored 5 goals while his team mate Adnan Jalil Azam scored a hat-trick.
Alman Jalil Azam and Syed Hassan Abbas scored a brace each. Mian Khuram from Sherwood scored a hat-trick while Qadeer Ashfaq contributed 1 goal. Sherwood had already a 2 and half goals handicap advantage.
The second match was contested between Remington Polo and Guard Group which was won by Remington Polo by 8-1. Agha Musa Ali Khan and Bilal Haye from Remington Polo contributed 4 goals each for their team while, Taimur Mawaz Khan scored the only goal for Guard Group.
Two more matches will be played today at Lahore Polo Club ground. Diamond Paints will be playing against Waste Buster and Pebble Breaker will play against Terra Energy team.
