Bounce Club shutout Neighborhood Club to win Shohada-E-Pakistan Basketball Tournament 2019 title

Bounce Club overpowered Neighborhood Club by 52- 45 in the final game to claim the title of 2019 Shohada-E-Pakistan Basketball Tournament which concluded successfully at Arambagh basketball court in Karachi.

 

The final encounter of this mega tournament was all about Bounce Basketball Club being in control of the game as they outgunned their opponents: tournament favorites, Neighborhood Basketball Club, thanks to some unselfish basketball with their 52- 45 advantage.

The boys from both the sides played their hearts out as they left all on the line in this final game but it was not an embarrassing blowout for  Neighborhood Basketball Club's players as they fell short on by only few points. 
 
Mohsin Riaz came through for Bounce Club, dropping 20 points along with 15 successful shot of Rehab Naeem. Zia Ahmed also contributed for his team's title victory with managing 10 points. 

While for the other side that lost the game and now stands at the runner-up spot,  Neighborhood Club will have to reassess and study what went wrong during their late-game implosion as  Abdullah Khan and Ali Jaffer's 10 points each with well assistance of 09 points by Seemi Gillani still could not earn them the title of the tournament.

The winning teams and participants were awarded with cash prizes and certificates, respectively by the hands of honorable chief guest, Col Mazhar Hussain. Trophies named: Hakim Muhammad Said and the Liaquat Ali Khan Shaheed were given to the winner and runner-up teams while the Benazir Bhutto Shaheed trophy was shared by Zia Ahmed of Bounce Club and Abdullah Khan of Neighborhood Club. 


Karachi Basketball Association (KBBA) in joint efforts of Pakistan Sports Welfare Association (PSWA) organized this mega basketball tournament which was a tribute to the heroes of our nation that sacrificed their lives in honor to keep the Pakistani flag fly high at all matters. Rangers and Police bands also performed in accordance of this aim to pay homage to the Shohada of the nation. 

This event held competitions in two different categories of Seniors and Juniors in which as many as thirteen leading club's teams of the city of lights: Karachi took part. 

At the end, KBBA President, Ghulam Muhammad Khan also announced the arrangement of Independence Day Basketball Cup which is slated to be held from 16 to 18 Aug while Junior Cup will be held from 20 to 27 Aug.
