The Mumba Squad outplayed hosts Karachi Basketball Club by 47-44 to reach the semi-final of first International Abdul Nasir Memorial Basketball Tournament 2021.
The first edition of International Abdul Nasir Memorial Basketball Tournament 2021 being organised by Firdaus Ittehad in collaboration with Karachi Basketball Association (KBBA) moved into semifinal stage at Abdul Nasir Basketball Court, Arambagh.
The Mumba Squad outplayed hosts Karachi Basketball Club by 47-44 to reach the semi-final.
Main scorers for the winners team, who with this victory also became group champions include Taha Khattak (18), Kenneth Johnson (12) and Saad Khan (10).
From the losing side, Daniyal Ahmed (12), Raja Kumar Lakhwani and Asad Imam (10 points each) did better but could not save their team from the failure.
The vice-president of the Karachi Basketball Association (KBBA) Imtiaz Ahmed Shaikh graced the ceremony as chief guest.
The event had the presence of KBBA president Ghulam Muhammad Khan, Muhammad Yaqoob and Ashraf Yahya.
