Falcon Sports & Omega Club mark wins in 3rd Commissioner Cup Basketball Tournament
Falcon Sports & Omega Club defeated their respective opponents to register their first wins in the 2019 Commissioner Cup Basketball Tournament which is being played at Arambagh basketball court in Karachi.
Two more matches were played in which Falcon Sports and seasoned, Lecole Ballerz teams were battling for the final win in the first encounter whose's win was taken home by Falcon Sports boys as they defeated their opponents by a score margin of 58-45.
Umar Farooq was the one to guide his team towards the victory of the match as he dubbed most points for his team; 20 with well contribution from Shabih Abbas as he scored 14 points. Ali Shabbir's 13 points also were of great help to the team.
The key players for the losing team were: Zubair and Umair who each dubbed 10 successfully shots and their team mate, Khizar Monir also managed 9 points.
The other clash was witnessed between Omega Club and Binoria Club in which Omega Club marked their victory by 59-50. A little more effort from the losing team might have earned them the win of the match as they were also good with their game play on the court, but as the players' performances fell, Omega Club boys took advantage, scoring more points for their team.
Taimur, Hassan Ali and Masood were on the scoring spree who fetched their team a valuable victory as they all scored 21, 20 and 12 points each. Syedi was the top scorer for the losing side with his 25 points and Saiful scored 20 points, but they both, along with their team efforts, were not able to earn their team the win of the match.
Karachi Basketball Association (KBBA) in collaboration with Pakistan Sports Welfare Association (PSWA) have organized the 3rd Commissioner Cup Basketball Tournament which is featuring 13 prominent teams of the city which include: Neighbourhood Club, Omega Club, Banoria Club, One Unit, KBC, Arambagh Club, Licoler Ballerz, Bounce Sports, Beacon Club, Nishter Club, Hunters and Usman Club.
