Army & Islamabad crown champions of Inter-Division & Inter-Department Basketball Championships 2019

The final of Inter-Department Basketball Championship was played between Army and Pakistan Air Force (PAF) basketball teams in which Army players finished the match in their favor by giving  difficult time to the opponent team's players as the winning team crushed the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) team's hopes to let them take the trophy of the championship home. Army ended the final as a one-sided encounter on 87-50 points. 

Army were 18-12 ahead in the first quarter before strengthening their grip as the closed out the second quarter with a commanding 44-23 advantage. The champions garnered 43 points in the last two quarters as against 27 by their opponents. Ammar Tughlab and Mohammad Shahbaz were major scorers for Army.The winning team put the opponents in pressure the most through Ammar Tughlab and Mohammad Shahbaz who, with their excellent passing and dipping skills scored the most points and earned their team the title of the championship. 

Whereas the  Inter-Division Basketball Championship witnessed the players from both teams: Islamabad and Sargodha, seem to equalize the scoreline one after the other shoot but as the match proceeded, Sargodha boys were lacking skills, stamina and form, against the super fit Islamabad players as they dominated the game and through there impressive ball-handling skills reduced every possible chance for the losing team to win. and finished the match in a hard fought victory for the winners by 56-54 score line. 

The key players in Islamabad team's title win were Rizwan Khurshid, Usman Awan and Yasir Abbasi who, with great team work altogether, earned their team the final victory of the championship. 

Federal Basketball Association under the supervision of Pakistan Basketball Federation organized, both the championships, in which players from their respective teams were seen competing with all their talent in the sport so as to earn top honors in the championships.
