Asif Toba, Babar Masih and Shahid Aftab show winning form in Snooker Championship

Top seed Muhammad Asif looses to Asif Toba who remain loss-less with Babar Masih and Shahid Aftab on the 2nd day of Jubilee Insurance 3rd Ranking Snooker Championship 2018.

 

Exciting snooker was witnessed on the 2nd day of Jubilee Insurance 3rd Ranking Snooker Championship 2018 played at Karachi Gymkhana.

Top seed Muhammad Asif faced 4-2 defeat in the hands of Asif Toba who maintained his winning streak to grab top group position. Asif Toba also scored the second highest 115-points break of the day against Agha Bilawal.

Majid Ali scored the days' highest 118-points break in the 3rd frame against Ahsan Javaid as he cleared the table single-handedly . Majid won the match 4-2.

Fifth seed Mohammad Ijaz could not open his winning account and drops to the bottom of Group D as he lost in an incredible game to Ali Haider. Ali won the first 3 frames but Ijaz made a comeback with a 55 points break to win the 4th frame, and later winning the 5th and a close 6th frame at 65-67. In the deciding 7th frame, Ali Haider prevailed 63-64 to register first win of the Championship.

Muhammad Shahbaz comfortably got through seventh seed Aakash with 4-0 win to register first win of the championship.

Shahid Iqbal continued his winning form as he defeated 4th seed Mohammad Bilal to take his position at the top of Group D.
