Punjab rules day 2 of Quaid e Azam interprovincial games

Punjab dominates the points table with 34 medals on the second day of Quaid e Azam interprovincial games at Pakistan Sports Complex, Islamabad.

 

Punjab with 23 Gold, 18 silver and 8 Bronze medals rules the points table on the day two of Quaid e Azam interprovincial games. Women from Punjab won 15 gold, 14 silver and 3 bronze medals while Men earned 8 gold, 4 silver and 5 bronze medals in different games.

Balochistan stands on second position with 5 Gold, 7 silver and 11 Bronze medals, 23 overall medals. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa secured third position as they grabbed 16 overall medals including 5 Gold, 2 Silver and 9 Bronze medals. Sindh stands on the fourth position with overall 12 medals including 4 Gold, 5 Silver and 3 Bronze medals.

FATA is on the fifth position as they secured 11 medals including 2 Gold, 3 Silver and 6 Bronze medals. GIlgit-Baltistan with overall 3 medals that includes 1 Gold and 2 Bronze stands on the sixth position while Islamabad earned the seventh spot with 5 overall medals including 1 silver and 4 Bronze and AJK stood on eight place with 1 silver and 4 bronze and overall 5 medals. So far 124 medals were distributed among the players in two days.

Netball teams of all four provinces reached in the Men's Netball event on the basis of their points. Sindh defeated Balochistan 18-13, Gilgit-Baltistan beat Islamabad 20-11 and Punjab overwhelmed KP 19-18 after an exciting contest. In women competitions, Islamabad wins against Balochistan 10-9 in a nail biting contest, while Sindh outlasted Balochistan 19-5 to cruise into semifinals.

Punjab grabbed Five gold medals while KPK and FATA remained second with 2 gold medals and GIlgit-Baltistan finishes third with 1 Gold medal on the second day of Quaid-e-Azam interprovincial games 2017.
