Davis Cupper Yasir Khan emerged as champion in the men’s singles when he beat talented Parbat Kumar in a well-contested final in the 8th Essa lab National Seniors and Juniors Tennis Championships that concluded at the Modern Club here the other day.

- Davis Cupper Yasir Khan emerged as champion in the men’s singles when he beat talented Parbat Kumar in a well-contested final.
- Irfan beat Ayub 8-4 in the wheelchair tennis final.
- Bilal Asim thrashed Haider Rizwan 6-1, 6-1 for the boys’ under-14 title.
- Hamza Ali Rizwan was crowned under-10 champion after he overwhelmed Samar Zaman 4-0, 4-1.
- Pakistan top junior player Hasheesh Kumar emerged victorious in the final after he best Mahatir Mohammad in straight sets by 6-4, 6-3.
- Zahra Suleman of Lahore, the top seed in girls’ under-18 singles, became the champion after cruising past Natalia Zaman of Karachi 6-0, 6-0.

Sindh Tennis Association organized the 8th ESSA Lab Open National senior and junior Tennis Championship under the supervision of Pakistan Tennis Federation from 31st Aug – 6th September at Modern Club, Karachi.
The grand championship was sponsored by Dr. ESSA Laboratory and Diagnostic Center which carried prize money of Rs 100000/-.
Events contested in the championship included Junior 18 singles, Girls Under 18 singles, Boys 16 singles, Boys 14 singles, Boys 12 singles, Boys 10 singles, U18 Doubles, U16 Doubles, U14 Doubles, U12 Doubles, Men's Singles, Women Doubles and Wheelchair Singles.
