PSB gives annual cheque of Rs.1Million to Pakistan Billiards & Snooker Association

The Director General, Pakistan sports board after the meeting delivered the cheque of annual grant for rupees one million, to the PBSA officials, for the PBSA.

Pakistan Billiards & Snooker Association (PBSA) president Mr. Jawed Karim, and the chairman PBSA Mr. Alamgir A. Shaikh met the director general, Pakistan Sports Board, Col. (Retd) Asif Zaman at the PSB secretariat at Islamabad.

A cordial meeting was held between the PBSA officials and the director general. The Director General, Pakistan sports board after the meeting delivered the cheque of annual grant for rupees one million, to the PBSA officials, for the PBSA.

The PBSA officials also wanted to call on the Minister for Sports (IPC), Dr. Fehmida Mirza, at her office in Islamabad, to discuss and request her for an increase in the annual / special grants of the association as snooker had achieved No.1 Spot in our country’s sports standing in international competitions, since last two decades, however the minister, was not available, due to her pre-occupation in the National Assembly and as such the meeting could not be held.

The PBSA requests the Federal Minister for Sports (IPC) to please consider an increase in the grant of the association from Rs.1Million to Rs.2.5Million, keeping in view the achievements and medals won.

The PBSA is thankful to the Federal Minister for Sports, Dr. Fehmida Mirza, and the Director General, Pakistan Sports Board for the release of the annual grant cheque. The PBSA officials presented a memento to the Director General, PSB on behalf of the PBSA.
