International Kyokushin Championship to be held in Islamabad in November

In a meeting with DG, Pakistan Sports Board, Raja Khalid said we need support to promote the game.

The Director General Pakistan Sport Board Akhtar Nawaz Ganjhera said that there is no lack of talent in Pakistan on Gross Root Level.’’ We work for development of sports on gross root level. This was stated by Director General Pakistan Sport Board Akhtar Nawaz Ganjhera while talking to Grand Master Raja Khalid chairman Kyokushin federation of Pakistan.

The President of Kyokushin federation of Pakistan, Zahoor Hashmi, Vice President Zahir Hussain Shah, Secretary Liaqat Ali and other senior member were also present in the meeting. The DG, PSB said that Sports policy aims are promotion of sports in the country by developing sports at grass root level.

Grand Master Raja Khalid chairman Kyokushin federation of Pakistan briefed the DG about the activities of the federation and hoped that Pakistan will participate and win gold medals in 2020 Olympic held in Japan.

He said that the Kyokushin federation of Pakistan is committed to the development of the Kyokushin martial arts game in the country. Grand Master said that in November, the international championship is going to be held in Islamabad. ‘’Our target is to get the Gold Medal at the Japan Olympic 2020, he added.

He further said that ‘’ through talent hunt program we are selecting natural talent form grass root level. The DG, PSB said that the sports board will always help for natural talent. DG further said that Pakistan Sports boards will work closely to promote sports culture in the country.
