Korangi Sports Festival 2021 to be held after Eid-ul-Azha
Korangi District will host a sports festival soon after Eid-ul-Azha in which all the leading sportspersons from the city will compete.
Administrator and Deputy Commissioner Korangi Irfan Salam Meerwani has announced that Korangi District will host a series of sports events including a sports festival soon after Eid-ul-Azha in which all the leading sportspersons from the city will compete.
This was announced in a meeting with a delegation of sports organizers in his office.
Meerwani said he is ensuring that all the playgrounds in the Korangi District are fully available to people for sports and healthy activities and added that strict action will be taken against anyone trying to encroach the sports arenas in the district.
He appointed Ghulam Mohammad as the coordinator for Korangi Sports Festival while Gulfaraz Khan of KHA is the chief organiser.
The event had the presences of Khalid Brohi of Yoga Federation, President of Sindh Weightlifting Federation Nafees Ahmed, Karachi Shootingball Federation’s Aijaz Qureshi, president National Martial Arts Committee Sheehan Shehzad Ahmed, Sindh Football Association’s Saleem Khamisani. Also present was Director Information Mohammad Arshad.
