Pakistan’s brilliant scrabble icon, Waseem Khatri has sealed a berth in the semifinals of WETO-an Online Scrabble championship.
Waseem is a sole representative of Pakistan in the high profile event and did the nation proud by storming into the semifinals in style.
Eight-time former national champion, Waseem started his campaign with a sheer dominance 3-0 over Sarah Rosenbaum of Canada.
Waseem continued his dream run and kept taking down his opponent Ricky Purnomo (Singapore) by 3-2 and coasted his way into the quarterfinals.
In quarterfinal, the coach of Happy Home School Karachi, Waseem proved his supremacy over Noah Slatkoff of Canada as the man in Green won the encounter by 3-2.
Waseem is now pitted against Will Anderson of USA in the semifinals, which is scheduled on 13th December, Sunday at 7:00 am (PST).
