Brilliant scrabble champion, Waseem Khatri made it to last-64 of MGI Virtual International Scrabble League Series 2020

Eight-time former national champion, Waseem Khatri is a sole delegate of Pakistan in the MGI Virtual International Scrabble League Series 2020 and shockingly, the solitary wolf made it to the second round of the league.

Scrabble players have been offered the opportunity to continue practicing their craft even with the rampaging coronavirus pandemic by Mindgames International, maiden MGI Virtual International Scrabble League Series.

Brilliant scrabble champion, Waseem Khatri is a sole delegate of Pakistan in the MGI Virtual International Scrabble League Series 2020 and shockingly, the solitary wolf made it to the second round of the league.

After Week 1 of the MGI Series concluded successfully, and 64 players, including the eight-time former national champion Waseem, made it to the 2nd week. Top 8 players from each group will proceed to the Round 2 stage of the tournament.

Placed in Group B, Waseem made it to the last 64 and with 7-6 win-loss record in first round and ranked at 7th place with +148 spread.

The competition will hold on the Internet Scrabble Club (ISC) - www.isc.ro platform.

There is a guaranteed prize pool of over $2,500 for grabs, with the champion getting $1,000.

The event will further spread over four (3) weekends starting from October 17.

October 17 – 18 Round 2 & 3

October 24 – 25 Round 4 and Quarter Final

October 31 – Nov 1 Semi Final, Third Place & Final
