Zubair, Asif, Farman, Adil wins Gold in 28th National Games For Special Persons

About 750 players are taking part in 47 disciplines of 28th National Games of Special Persons kicked off at Peshawar Sports Complex, Peshawar.

About 750 athletes are participating in 47 disciplines of 28th edition of National Games of Special Persons which is being played at Peshawar Sports Complex, Peshawar.

 The games include 47 different male and female games, comprising cricket, badminton, table tennis, tug of war, athletics, wheelchair race, discus throw, wheelchair cricket, discus throw wheelchair, javelin throw, shot put, power lifting, bodybuilding, archery, wood eball, wheelchair basketball and various other events.

Zubair Ullah of Peshawar grabbed 100m gold medal while Zainab Noor lifted double gold medals 100m and 200m races Men and Women Wheelchair Races.

In Twenty20 Blind Cricket, Peshawar and Islamabad advanced to next round after securing victories against their respective rivals.

The 28th National Table Tennis competition for People with Different Abilities organized by the Directorate of Sports KP ended with Zainab Barkat defeated Rana Gul in the Women Wheelchair Category final.

In badminton, Asif of Mardan wins Badminton Standing final by defeating Umair of Peshawar 3-0 in the final.

Tug of war Standing Disabilities competitions were also held, in which SLF Green won the trophy after defeating Peshawar Red by 2-1.

In the Powerlifting Standing Gulsher won gold medal, Ghulam Muhammad of Sindh got silver medal.

In the Crutches 100m Umair of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with his one foot crossed the distance by grabbing gold medal and Farman of Bajaur, another standing handicap, got silver medal.

 In the Javelin throw (standing) Farman of KP won gold medal, followed by Fahim of Lahore.

 In the Discuss throw Adil of Peshawar won gold medal and Mohib took silver medal.

 In the shot put standing Mian Jan won gold medal, followed by Yasin, both from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
