Tariq Ali elected Secretary-General of the South Asia Ju-Jitsu Regional Association (SAJJRA)

Tariq Ali has unanimously elected Secretary-General of the South Asia Ju-Jitsu Regional Association (SAJJRA)for the next three years 2020-2022.

Tariq Ali, who has been unanimously elected Secretary-General of the South Asia Ju-Jitsu Regional Association for the next three years 2020-2022, recently held an online meeting of the General Council of the South Asia Ju-Jitsu Regional Association in connection with the elections.

Joachim Tahmford - Director-General of the Ju-Jitsu International Federation and Sports Director of the Ju-Jitsu Asian Union oversaw all stages of the election.

Panagiotis, President of the Ju-Jitsu International Federation, specially attended the General Council meeting. At the meeting, the officials of the South Asia Ju-Jitsu Regional Association were unanimously elected unopposed for the next three years 2020-2022, Suresh Gopi (India) President and Tariq Ali (Pakistan) have been elected Secretary-General, while other officials include Vice President Kithsiri De Zoysa (Sri Lanka) and R. Islam Newton (Bangladesh), Joint Secretary Miss Shah Hassan (Maldives), while members of the Executive Committee include Rajiv Maharjan (Nepal) and Pema Jenjuk (Bhutan), the election of the General Council was held online due to the coronavirus in the world.

Suresh Gopi thanked all the members for electing the President.

 Mr Panagiotis President of the Ju-Jitsu International Federation said that the Electoral General Council of South Asia Region had the best-organized meeting in all the regions of Asia and assured full cooperation of JJIF and JJAU.

Secretary-General Tariq Ali thanked all the members for electing him and Mr Panagiotis President Ju-Jitsu International Federation for his special participation and said that I’m hopeful of the support of JJIF and JJAU and an excellent and professional teamwork South Asia will take all necessary steps for the development of Ju-Jitsu sports in the region.
