Army, KP, Wapda win gold medals

Army, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Wapda earned one gold medal each as three competitions were held on the first day of the National Karate Championships at the Wapda Sports Complex here on Wednesday.

Army won gold medal in team kata. Their team consisted of M. Sajjad, Akhtar Munir and Aamir Abbas.

In below 50kg age group, Ismail Khan of KP seized a gold medal. Bahwal Khan of Balochistan got silver medal while Faisal Shahzad of Army scooped a silver medal.

In below 55kg, M. Kashif of Wapda came out with a gold medal while M. Murad of KP and Koray Khan of Punjab received silver and bronze medal, respectively.
