Pakistan Gymnastics Federation elects new office bearers

Pakistan Gymnastics Federation has elected Ali Rajput and Pervaiz Ahmed its President and Secretary General respectively for a four year term.

Ahmad Ali Rajput was elected as president while Pervaiz Ahmed was elected unopposed as the secretary general for the next four-year term in the elections of the Pakistan Gymnastics Federation (PGF) held recently. 

A general body meeting of the PGF was held at DHA Club in connection with the elections and was attended by representatives from all the provinces including Major General Mehmood Riaz from Army, Imdadullah Memon from WAPDA and Tariq Mehmood from Pakistan Railways.

Pakistan Olympic Association’s Asif Azeem attended the meeting as an observer.

The newly elected office bearers also include Manzoor Hussain Jaffri as Senior Vice President, Imdadullah Memon, Muhammad Nadeem and Abida Parveen as Vice Presidents.

Khalid Rathore was elected Secretary Finance while Tariq Mehmood and Faisal Fayyaz were elected as Associate Secretaries. 

Elected President Ahmed Ali, in his address, thanked the representatives of all the units who participated in the election and said he will do his best to fulfill the confidence reposed in him by the participants. He said that all possible steps will be taken to bring the new gymnastics talent into the mainstream.
