Army Won 23rd National 7s Championship after beating Islamabad 5-0 in a well contested final here Sunday. Punjab White defeated Police on sudden death to grab 3rd position.

Army Won 23rd National 7s Championship after beating Islamabad 5-0 in a well contested final here Sunday. Punjab White defeated Police on sudden death to grab 3rd position.
The championship was organized by the Pakistan Rugby Union with cooperation of Punjab Police. IG Punjab Police, Mushtaq Ahmad Sukhera was chief guest while POA president Lt. Gen (R), Arif Hassan, Additonal IG Punjab, Sohail Khan, Army Sports Directorate Head, Brig Ghulam Gillani, DIG Shahibzada Shahzad Sultan, Pakistan Rugby Union president, Fawzi Khawaja, vice president, Major Gen (R) M Ashraf and others were also present. Ten teams from all over Pakistan participated in this two-day event. Nanu Niazi declared player of the final while player of tournament award went to Army’s Khalid Chand. Fair play trophy was given to Sindh Rugby.
