Dr Essa Abdullah XI wins opening game as 4th Essa Lab Basketball Tournament launches
Dr Essa Abdullah XI defeated Michael Turner XI in the Essa Lab Basketball Tournament 2019 opening match played at Arambagh basketball court in Karachi.
The 12 team 4th Essa Lab Basketball Tournament rolled into action yesterday where Dr Essa Abdullah XI and Michael Turner XI teams were up against each other in the inaugural match.
Dr Essa Abdullah XI registered their first victory by beating their opponents easily with the final score of 47-22.
The convincing win for Dr Essa Abdullah XI came courtesy of remarkable effort by Hamza Perwani, who score the team-high 11 points with assistance from Hamza Khwaja who had 10. Nofil Ali and Humayoun Aslam contributed with 6 points each.
While Shariq Suleman, Hasan Ali Jr and Raheel Mubeen scored 13, 11 and 10 points in a losing effort.
Assistant Manager Corporate Relations, Syeda Itrat Hassan was the chief guest who graced the event opening and said Essa Laboratories are trying to ensure top level health facilities to people in the city besides supporting all sports events.
