Ali Bangash lifts 13th Chief of Naval Staff (CNS) Amateur Golf Championship trophy

Among several participating golfers, Ali Bangash earned the title in handicap 7-12 category at Chief of Naval Staff (CNS) Amateur Golf Championship 219 which successfully concluded at Margalla Greens Golf Course in Islamabad.

 

All four categories of 13th edition of Chief of Naval Staff (CNS) Amateur Golf Championship successfully wrapped up with several golfers earning titles in their respective categories.

The different classes of the competition were:


  1. Amateurs over 54 holes (handicap of 12 and below)
  2. Seniors over 36 holes (over 55 years with handicap of 14 and below)
  3. Juniors over 18 holes (Under 16 years of age with handicap of 24 and below) and
  4. Ladies over 36 holes (34 golfers with handicap of 30 and below) 


Ali Bangash of Garden City Golf Club took home the major win of the event by triumphing over his opponents to earn the coveted title of the Chief of the Naval Staff Amateur Golf Championship in the Amateurs category with a net score of 203.

While the seasoned golfer, Afzal Ahmed and Taimur Khan won the Gross and Net events respectively in the handicap six and below class. 

Amir Mir stodd the winner of Senior Amateur Gross Title whereas Sami Ullah Khan won the Net category.

Ji Young Jun marking 171 gross grabbed the top spot of Ladies category while Iman Ali Shah won the Net event.

The 2019 Chief of Naval Staff (CNS) Amateur Golf Championship marked its 13th successful edition that was held at the lush green golf course of Margalla Greens Golf Club of Islamabad for four days where significant number of talented golfers participated and struggled hard to win in their respective categories with all their skills.
