Alpha College and School Sports Festival 2019 concludes

The mega 2019 Alpha College and School Sports Festival concluded successfully with several schools and colleges taking home trophies, certificates and medals at two Alpha college campuses: Alpha College and Alpha Core in Karachi.

 
The mega Alpha College and School Sports Festival 2019 successfully wrapped up with several students taking home medals, trophies and certificates in their respective sports as this bonanza which featured as many as ten different sports.

The final day of this sports festival had two games contested which were: Tug Of War and Arm Wrestling in both the U-17 and U-19 age categories, that were witnessed by Alpha Sports Festival organizing Team along with national players Kainat Imtiaz and Rabia Shazad, Director Alpha College, Kashan Iqbal, Umer Altaf, Navid Ali, Sports Coordinator, Majid Rasool and Najma Farhan.

- Under 17 Event Tug Of War: BOYS

• 1st Position: Happy Home School
• 2nd Position: Alpha Core
• 3rd Position: Alpha High School

- Under 19 Event Tug Of War: BOYS

• 1st Position: Bahria College-Karsaz
• 2nd Position: Karachi Grammar School
• 3rd Position: Alpha College

- Under 17/19 Event Tug Of war: GIRLS

• 1st Position: Cordoba College
• 2nd Position: Bahria College-Karsaz
• 3rd Position: Sceptre College

- Under 19 Event Arm Wrestling: BOYS

• 1st Position: Reads College
• 2nd Position: Bahria College
• 3rd Position: Hexis College

- Under 17 Event Arm Wrestling: BOYS

• 1st Position: Alpha High School
• 2nd Position: BVS Parsi School
• 3rd Position: Happy Home School

- Under 19 Event Arm Wrestling: GIRLS

• 1st Position: Bahria College-Karsaz (morning)
• 2nd Position: Reads College
• 3rd Position: Bahria College-Karsaz (afternoon)

The Alpha Sports Festival was organized by Alpha College with a belief that Sports develop a sense of friendliness and team spirit among the children which helps a student to polish his/her overall personality. This sports festival of Alpha College did not only generate enthusiasm within students of different schools but also built an athletic relationship with a healthy competition. 

The festival expanded to feature a total of 10 sports for O’level and A’level category students, boys and girls both. The event brought in over 4500 attendees from above 50 schools and colleges for 12 days. Two campuses of Alpha College and Alpha Core were utilized, expanding the playing field for a bigger and better competition.

The competition included the following sports:

 1. Basketball (Boys and Girls) 
 2. Throwball
 3. Counter Strike
 4. Chess
 5. Futsal (Boys and Girls)
 6. Tug of War (Boys and Girls)
 7. Table Tennis (Boys and Girls)
 8. Cricket T10
 9. Arm Wrestling
 10. Badminton (Boys and Girls)
