Alpha School & College Sports Festival 2019 continues in full swing
Basketball and Cricket matches were competed on the 8th day of Alpha School & College Sports Festival 2019 which is being held in Karachi.
Students from all over Karachi are participating in 10 sports events in U-17 and U-19 categories. On 8th day of the Sports Festival only one game: Basketball in U-19 category was played at two of the campuses of Alpha College and Alpha Core. While the knock-out Cricket tournament was contested at Hill Park and IBA Cricket grounds.
Following are the Day 8 Results:
- Under 19 Event Basketball: GIRLS
• 1st Semi-Final: Alpha College V/S Cedar College – Cedar College won the match by (01-35) and qualified for the final
• 2nd Semi-Final: Nixor College V/S Bahria College-Karsaz – Nixor College won the match by (13-08) and qualified for the final against Cedar College
• 3rd Position match: Alpha College V/S Bahria College-Karsaz – Bahria College-Karsaz won the match by (09-20) and stood for 3rd position in under 19 basketball girls
- Under 19 Event Basketball: BOYS
• Alpha College V/S BSS-Discovery – Alpha College won the match by (48-05)
• Habib Public High School V/S Nixor College-White – Nixor College-White won the match by (15-17)
• Reads College V/S Sceptre College – Reads College won by a walkover
• Habib Public High School V/S Generations School – Generations School won the match by (22-47)
• Reads College V/S Highbrow College – Reads College won by a walkover
• Nixor College-Red V/S The Lyceum School – Nixor College - Red won by a walkover

Under 19 Event Cricket
• Cedar College V/S DHACSS College – Cedar College won the match. DHACSS College- 60/8(10.0 OV), Cedar College- 61/1(6.1 OV). Cedar College qualified for the final.
• Hexis College V/S American School & College – Hexis College won the match. American School & College- 100/3(10.0 OV), Hexis College- 104/2(9.0 OV). Hexis College qualified for the Semifinal against Nixor College.
- Under 17 Event Cricket
• Bay View High School V/S Alpha High School – Bay View High School won the match. Bay View High School- 100/5 (10.0 OV), Alpha High School- 92/4 (10.0 OV). Bay View High School qualified for the Semifinal.
• First Semi Final: The City School-North V/S Wahaj Hussain Schooling System – Wahaj Hussain Schooling System won the match. The City School-North- 65/8 (10.0 OV), Wahaj Hussain Schooling System- 70/1 (7.2 OV). Wahaj Hussain Schooling System qualified for the final.
