Alpha School & College Sports Festival 2019 set to begin tomorrow

The Alpha Sports Festival is being organized by Alpha College. It will officially roll into action tomorrow and will continue to host daily events throughout the 12 day period from 29th October to 9th November. However, Cricket matches will commence from today. 

Alpha believes that Sports develop a sense of friendliness and team spirit among the children which helps a student to polish his/her overall personality. This sports festival of Alpha College will not only generate enthusiasm within students of different schools but also build an athletic relationship with a healthy competition.   

 

The festival has expanded to feature a total of 10 sports for O’level and A’level category boys and girls both. The sports festival is expected to bring in over 4500 attendees from above 50 schools and colleges for 12 days. This year two campuses (college and core) will be utilized, expanding the playing field for a bigger and better competition.

The competition includes the following sports:

 1. Basketball (Boys and Girls)

 2. Throwball

 3. Counter Strike

 4. Chess

 5. Futsal (Boys and Girls)

 6. Tug of War (Boys and Girls)

 7. Table Tennis (Boys and Girls)

 8. Cricket T10

 9. Arm Wrestling

 10. Badminton (Boys and Girls)

The opening ceremony and first round of games will be held tomorrow where the Dean of Alpha College, Mrs Yasmin Bhatti will be welcoming the participants as the honorable chief guest of the occasion.
