Hamza & Umer stays unbeaten on day-one of IBSF World U16 Snooker Championships 2019

Hamza Ilyas and Muhammad Umar Khan overpowered their respective opponents to win the their opening fixtures of IBSF World U16(Boys & Girls)Snooker Championships 2019 in Tyumen, Russia.

Pakistan's promising cueists Hamza Ilyas and Muhammad Umar Khan are representing Pakistan in the IBSF World U16(Boys & Girls)Snooker Championships 2019 which is continue in full swing in Tyumen, Russia.

Promising youngsters Mohammad Umar Khan who had the knack of performing creditably in the national events, showed great stamina and skill as he chalked up a magnificent highest break of  day-1 of 83 points in the fourth frame to register an exciting 3-2 win over Dhruv Patel of India with the final score line of 20-74, 78-18, 22-57, 105(83)-1, 68-10.

Talented Umar thrashed Leone Crowley of Ireland by 3-0 with the final score line of 73-43, 67-17, 57-17 in the second group match of the opening day.

14-year-old Hamza Ilyas opened his account by firing break of 45 points to win the first frame at 58-6 against Artem Istomin of Russia in the opening fixtures of Group matches. Punjab’s Hamza continued his aggressive play to win the match by 3-1 with the final score line of 58-6, 7-81, 53-47, 62-46. 

National U-16 champion Hamza Ilyas registered an exciting 3-2 victory over Jack Newman of Ireland to win their second group encounter with the final score line of 61-51, 29-49, 33-74, 72-29, 57-18.

42 Player from 11 countries are participating in the championship which are divided into 8 Groups. After the league round top 3 players will qualify for knockout round. All 8 Group winner will directly qualify for pre quarter while 2nd and 3rd positions holders of the group will be qualify for last 24 round.
