Talented Ali Haider & Sheikh Mudassir in last-32 of World U-21 Snooker Championship 2019

Pakistan's talented cueists Ali Haider and Sheikh Mohammad Mudassir sneaked into the last-32 round of the ongoing World U-21 Snooker Championship in Chinese city of Qingdao.

Pakistan's talented cueists Ali Haider and Sheikh Mohammad Mudassir sneaked into the last-32 round of the ongoing World U-21 Snooker Championship in Chinese city of Qingdao. Both won three matches each out of four in their respective groups to propel into next round.

The 20-year-old Ali Haider regarded to be one of the most promising youngsters of the country, showed flashes of brilliance in his pursuit as he sent Langyi Ryan Li of Hong Kong packing 3-1. Langyi put a shiny start as he won the opening frame at 69-45. Ali came from behind to equalized the lead at 1-1 as he won the second frame at 72-20. 

The national U-21 champion Ali was in wonderful form after losing the first frame and continued his aggressive play as he won the third frame with a margin of 82 points at 87-7. Ali put pressure on the brilliant Langyi as he didn’t allowed Hong Kong player to play freely to win the fourth frame by 67-32.

Meanwhile, his contemporary Sheikh Mohammad Mudassir, who overpowered Seif Noureldeen of Egypt in tough battle by 3-2 with the final score line of 90-26, 67-32, 12-54, 42-85, 74-49. Earlier, Punjab's Mudassir sent New Zealand cueist Marcus Moat packing 3-0 with the final score line of 71-27, 72-24, 73-25.

Ali is drawn against Narongdat Takantong of Thailand in the last 32 round and Sheikh Muhammad Mudassir is up against Deng Haohui of China while matches will start today(Friday) at 10:00 pm (PST).
