Tooba dominates with 28 points in one-sided match in Basketball Tournament.

Bahria University Medical and Dental College (BUMDC) outplayed Indus Valley School of Arts and Architecture 49-6 points in the fifth AKU Inter-collegiate/university girls’ basketball tournament

 

Tooba Javaid and Palwasha Khattak caught the eye for their scoring as Bahria University Medical and Dental College (BUMDC) outplayed Indus Valley School of Arts and Architecture 49-6 points in the fifth AKU Inter-collegiate/university girls’ basketball tournament on Saturday.

Tooba dominated the play with her brilliant shooting abilities in the one-sided match and finished with a tally of 28 points as her team opened their account in pool A at the AKU Sports Centre Gymnasium.

She was ably supported by Palwasha who contributed 17 for the winners who led 27-0 at half time.

There was no significant scorer for the losers.

It may be mentioned that BUMDC have lost their opener to the host AKU the other day.

A post interval comeback helped Nixor College gets the better of Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS) 22-12 in the pool B match. The winners led 8-7 at half time.

Hana Raza and Maha Bhagat shared 16 points amongst themselves for the winners. Suhora Hussain scored four.

Meeshal Khan and Faiza Ejaz scored five and four respectively for the losers.
