Sindh & Culligan record wins in National Throwball Championship 2019 openers

The 2019 National Men and Women Throwball Championship got underway with Sindh, Culligan, Balochistan, KPK and Punjab teams marking their first wins against their respective opponents at Peshawar University in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

In Men's category, the defending champions Sindh and FATA teams were up in the very first clash into the championship in which as expected, Sindh boys convincingly won the match by 2-0 leaving the opponents empty handed at the end of the match. And in the second encounter between KPK and Abdul Waleed Khan University in the men's category witnessed KPK team's win by 2-0.

Whereas in the Women category, Culligan girls earned a hard fought victory over Punjab team by a score difference of 2-1 and Sindh women's team also overpowered the FATA team on a 2-0 score line easily. While Islamabad, Gilgit Baltistan and Police suffered falls of their matches against their opponents: Balochistan, KPK and Punjab, respectively by 2-0. 

Zila Nazim, Arbab Asim Khan along with Khaliqur Rehman, MPA, President KP Throwball Association, Faiza Amir, President Pakistan Women Throwball Association, Bahre Karam, Director University of Peshawar, Maqbool Arain, Secretary General PTF were the honorable chief guest who graced the event open. 

Inter-Provincial Men and Women Throwball Championship and National Mix 3 Men and 4 Women Throwball Championship into the current year is being held under the auspicious of Pakistan Throwball Federation (PTF) in collaboration of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Throwball Association which is featuring a total of about 12 teams, players from which are seen competing well against each other so as to win top honors in the championships.
