Karachi Basketball Club lifts SSB Cup Quaid-e-Azam Basketball Tournament trophy

The 2019 SSB Cup Quaid-e-Azam Basketball Tournament concluded successfully with Karachi Basketball Club winning the title at Arambagh basketball court in Karachi.

Karachi Basketball Club and Bounce Club were battling for the final win in the SSB Cup Quaid-e-Azam Basketball Tournament that witnessed both teams trying their level best with their players best shooting skills as well as the speed on the court.

But at the end, the powerful side of Karachi Basketball Club did not let Bounce Club take away the win of the final game from them and recorded their victory by a total score of 47 against the losing side's 43. However, the losing team did show great accuracy in their shoots to which they were able to lose on a close call rather than much worst loss which they could have had to face if it wasn't for their players great performance. 

Former Olympian and Hockey captain Islah Ud Din Siddiqui was the honorable chief guest who witnessed the finale as well as distributed the trophies and prizes among the high achievers of the tournament. 

He emphasized on organizing of more sports competitions in the year to create a positive culture of healthy competition among the youth and congratulated the KBBA for holding the impressive tournament under floodlights at the court.

Meanwhile, Binoria Basketball Club received the fairplay trophy while Karachi Basketball Club’s Jazib Abbasi and Muzammil Ud Din of Bounce Club were jointly declared as Men of the Final.

Arambagh Club’s Raheel, technical official Ashraf Yahya and umpire Nazakat Khan were also given special awards.

KBBA president Ghulam Mohammad announced that the Inter-Collegiate Girls Basketball Tournament that will be held at from 28th January and Kashmir Cup Basketball Tournament that will be held from 5th February.

This mega Quaid-e-Azam Basketball Tournament was being organized by Sindh Sports Board (SSB) in collaboration with PSWA and Karachi Basketball Association (KBBA) that featured top basketball teams from all over the city of lights; Karachi from which several players were seen giving their all to win the title of this tournament.
