Neighborhood and Bounce Club into SSB Cup Quaid-e-Azam Basketball Tournament Semis
Neighborhood and Bounce Clubs defeated their respective opponents to book berths into the semi-final stage of SSB Cup Quaid-e-Azam Basketball Tournament which is being played at Arambagh Basketball Court in Karachi.
Neighborhood Club made Nishter Club suffer the loss by the score difference of exactly 10 points at 58-48 score-line.
The winning team’s boys managed to reach the semi-final stage of the tournament by their talented player’s tremendous efforts at their ball control and accurate shooting skills as Chenway made 20 points along with Abdullah Khan who scored 2 points less than him. Omar Khan and Hammad ND Khan each managed to score scored 8 points in the win for their team.
While Talha Amjad, Mohammad Shabbar and Waqar Zulfiqar’s 48 points in total were not enough to book them place into the further stage of the tournament.
Whereas, Bounce Club struggled to win over strong Omega Club in the quarter-final by 57-51.
For the winners, Zia Ahmed was the top scorer who scored the most, 28 points by well assistance through Saif Ullah Sherwani who scored 12 points. Muzammil and Mohsin Ali contributed 10 points each.
However, losing team did make quite good efforts through their star players, Taimur Zaheer and Tahir Naqqash who tried to earn their team the place in the semi-final stage with their total 22 points and 20 points, respectively. Also, Muhammad Riaz contributed with his 10 successful shots but altogether, they failed to record win for their team.
