Neighborhood Club records win on a close-call over Omega Club 59-56 in SSB Cup Quaid-e-Azam Basketball Tournament 2018

The 2018 SSB Cup Quaid-e-Azam Basketball Tournament is continued in full swing with Askari and Neighborhood clubs recordings wins at Arambagh Baskrtball Courts in Karachi.

Neighborhood and Omega basketball clubs were seen fighting hard to named the win in the game as both the team players were witnessed giving all their efforts with great skill in the sport which lead them to not lose for much of the game.  

It was an up and down game with both teams continuously recording scores on the board one after the other but at the end, Neighborhood team earned two more points which resulted them in winning the match by 59-56. It was one of the toughest matches witnessed in the tournament by a large number of spectators as well as the honorable chief guests and members accompanying them.

Neighborhood team did not just win this match but also topped their group table after both clubs drew the level four times. The Chinese player, Chen, once again was the top-scorer for the winners with 17 points while Abdullah made his efforts successful 13 times into the basket and Asad Ali with just one point behind him dubbing 12 points.

For the losing team, Muhammad Riz superbly recorded 20 points while Anas Azhar and Taimur Azhar scored 9 points each.

While in the other game played on the same day, Askari Club reached the quarterfinals beating strong One Unit Club 47-39. Saad Khan, Shameer Zaheer and Syed Bakhtiar proved to be the key players who earned their team victory whereas Tashqain of One Unit team scored most for his team but still his 14 points, Azhar Ali’s 8 and Nihal Hussain’s 4 points were not enough to name the match this time.

This tournament has been organized by Sindh Sports Board in collaboration with PSWA which is featuring top basketball teams from all over the city of lights; Karachi from which several players are giving their all to win the title of the championship.
