South Shore and Lyceum suffers loss in Inter-School Boys & Girls Basketball Tournament

Bahria College defeated South Shore 33-11 while Lyceum falls to PAK Steel Cadet College 45-12 in Inter-School Boys & Girls Basketball Tournament which is being played at Arambagh Court, Karachi.

The second day of the tournament saw Bahria College beat South Shore in the first match of the day. Bahria College players accomplished this win for the game by showing their hard work at running, dibbling and shooting with accuracy at the basket making 33 points against the opponent’s 11 points in total.    

Jasim scored 10 points for the winning team while Zain dubbed just one point behind Jasim and Saleel earned 8 points making a total of 33 for the winning team. Whereas Aga Hussain and Shayan Ali both scored 7 and 4 points each respectively, for the losing team.

In the second encounter, PAK Steel Cadet College was up against Lyceum in which PAK Steel Cadet College thrashed them on 45-12 scoreline. Israr Ali erupted 20 point and Muzammil 15 points with Shabbir Hussain’s contribution of 4 points led PAK Steel Cadet College to a straight win in the game.

Lyceum basketball team struggled through the skills of the winning team’s players and could not match their stamina and talent even with their star players Wajih Ullah and Shane Ali who basketed 6 and 2 points each, respectively.

In third and last match of the day, St. Patrick's School thrashed The City School (Darakhshan Chapter) 19-0. Team as a whole worked hard to claim the win for this match with Christopher proving to be the key player scoring 17 points with the support of Muhammad Ali who made 2 shots and earn their team the win.

The tournament is being organized by Karachi Basketball Association (KBBA) and Nasir Academy for both girls and boys category and the tournament has been named after prominent educationist Hasmat Ullah Lodhi as Professor Hasmat Ullah Lodhi Inter-School Boys & Girls Basketball Tournament.
