National Women Basketball Championship 2018 move to the semi-final stage

Karachi Basketball Team battled with Rawalpindi team in the first match of the day, beating the opponent in a thrilling match by 46-23. The players of the winning team displayed a splendid game making their way into the semi-final stage of the championship.  

Whereas the second match witnessed defending champions WAPDA Team players who as a whole worked hard enough to earn this victory by defeating the opponent team Karachi on a 49-12 score-line. Their striker Sehrish proved to be the key player scoring 8 points and claiming the win along with Mehru and Hijab’s 6 shots each.

In another match, Army sealed the victory of the match through their shooting accuracy 58 times against the losing teams’ 34 points in total. Kashifa of the winning team proved to be the most talented player shooting 14 shots into the basket. Lahore sides’ Sakha scored 8 points.

Hazara Team players also tried their best to make way into the semi-final stage despite losing a few times into the championship and thrashed Hyderabad Basketball Team on 18-5 score points. But their efforts were lost in vain as they did not get to book a place into the semi-final game.

After the completion of all group matches WAPDA, Karachi, Army and Lahore entered the semi-final based on their better average and victories in their previous matches being played throughout the championship.

Army Basketball Team will now be seen up against Karachi Team while Lahore Basketball Team will be competing with WAPDA Basketball Team.
