Pakistan Karakoram Marathon 2018 all set to kick-off

Runners from 24 nations along with 70 members of the armed forces and 30 local runners will participate in the Pakistan’s second official marathon in Naltar Valley, Gilgit-Baltistan.

Multiple Guinness World Record Holder Ziyad Rahim in collaboration with Pakistan Air Force (PAF) and Senera Hotels is organizing the 2018 Pakistan Karakoram Marathon through his company Z Adventures. Z Adventures is a sports travel company that manages luxury running and multi-sport adventures worldwide. 

The unique high-altitude marathon will take place near the PAF base in a secluded trail setting at an altitude of 11,300 feet above the sea-level. This landmark event will feature global runners from 24 nations along with 70 members of the armed forces and 30 local runners who are to compete in the full marathon of 42.2 kilo meters as well as the half-marathon category of 21.1km

  8. Dan Micola (Czech Republic)
  9. Zara Rahim & Mekaal Rahim (Canada/Pakistan)
  10. Philippe Waroux (France)
  11. David Darton and Colin Lea (UK)

Apart from it, runners from Australia, Belgium, Egypt, Tunisia, Faroe Islands, Poland, Qatar, UAE, Argentina, Ireland, Taiwan, China, Scotland and Netherlands will also feature in event.

“Our youngest competitor is 10 years old, while the oldest is 80 years young!” Ziyad said.

Custom designed medal for all marathon finishers and trophies for Top 3 male / female runners will be awarded respectively.
