Pakistan to participate in Asian Rugby Sevens Championship in Singapore

Pakistan Rugby squad will participate in the Asian Rugby Sevens Championship in Singapore from 4th- 5th August.

The national team is set to leave on Aug 3, while the two-day competition will be held on Aug 4 and 5 in which other countries taking are Thailand, UAE, Iran, Jordan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Kazakhstan, Brunei, Indonesia, Laos, Uzbekistan and hosts Singapore. 

Pakistan is placed in Group ‘C’ alongside Singapore, Bangladesh, Brunei and Laos. According to the format of the event, all league matches will be played on Aug 4, while the positional matches and final will be staged on Aug 5.

A final team from following 17 probables will be picked: 

Ahmed Wasim, Mohammad Shoaib Akbar, Saad Arif, Adnan Saeed Niazi, Kashif Khawaja, Mian Hamza, Khalid Hussain Bhatti, Mohammad Afzal, Mohammad Talha, Daud Gill, Ali Shahid, Mohammad Waqas, Musadiq Altaf, Mohammad Haroon, Faisal Aslam, Mohammad Abbas, Mohammad Nasir.
