Pakistan dominates Kyrgyzstan by 82-0 to reach final of Rugby Championship

Pakistan rugby squad outplayed Kirgizstan by 82-0 to move into the final of Asian Div III Rugby Championship at first president Rugby Stadium Almaty, Kazakhstan.

Kazakhstan is hosting the Four Nation Div III Asian Rugby Championship in which teams from Pakistan, Kyrgyzstan, Magnolia and the host Kazakhstan are participating in the championship. Pakistan rugby squad outplayed Kirgizstan by 82-0 to move into the final of Asian Div III Rugby Championship at first president Rugby Stadium Almaty, Kazakhstan. 

In the first half, the Pakistani players dominated the game and finished the half at 45-0. In the second half Pakistan players came even more strongly as Pakistani players repeated their sterling performance with a rousing display of technique and prowess to remain unbeatable at the score sheet and to win the match by 82-0. Ali Khan and Shoaib Akbar who both scored three tries each. Saad Arif and Adnan Saeed scored two tries each.

Pakistan will face host Kazakhstan in the final of Asian Div III Rugby Championship at first president Rugby Stadium Almaty, Kazakhstan on 19th May (Saturday).The strong team of Kazakhstan who defeated Magnolia 55-6 in the second semifinal to book their berth in final.

Chairman of the Pakistan Rugby Union Fawzi Khawaja was delighted with the win that came after three years for Pakistan. “The team played like a good unit and this augurs well for the final. Kazakhstan is a strong team but we hope to beat them and win the championship tomorrow,” he said.
