Hamza off to Beijing for China Open Snooker Championship

Pakistani professional cueist Hamza Akbar has left for Beijing from Islamabad to participate in China Open snooker championship which is being held there from April 2-8.

Pakistani cueist is off to Beijing for China Open Snooker championship. Talking to media on airport before leaving Hamza was off the view that “I’ve got my visa the other day and will be flying to Beijing in few hours from now”. Earlier, Hamza has qualified for the event after getting a walkover against Iran’s Hossein Vafaei in qualifiers held in England last month.

Two time national champions and former Asian champion Hamza said he’ll take on Ricky Walden of England on Monday in his first appearance in the tournament.

The 25-year old cueist while answering a question said his next assignment would be World Championship qualifier in England from April 9 and according to him he is very much confident to improve his world pro rankings as he figures himself somewhere between 90 to 100 after China Open.
