Punjab University retain Inter-Varsity Women Judo Championship title

Reigning champion Punjab University wins 6th Inter-Varsity Women Judo Championship at Sardar Bahadur Khan (SBK) Women University, Quetta.

The two day event was held at Sardar Bahadur Khan (SBK) Women University, Quetta where more than 200 female judoka from different parts of Pakistan participated in inter-varsity championship.

Punjab University women team retained the title followed by University of Lahore on second position and Lahore College for Women ended on third. Female judoka applauded the effort of their institutions for providing them chances to take part in such events. “Women should have interest in judo karate as they can learn self-defense” a female athlete expressed her views.

Speaking on the occasion Chief Guest MPA Zmrak Khan Achakzai stressed on providing more chances to women and demanded for establishing more universities for women in Balochistan.

Vice Chancellor SBK Women's University also admired the efforts of women players and also pay her regards for to the universities for sending their teams in the championship.
