Atif humbles Faisal in National Masters snooker championship

Mohammad Atif defeated Faisal Rogatia in a thrilling seven frame encounter to reach the quarterfinals of Jubilee Insurance National Master (+40) Snooker Championships.

Punjab’s cueist Mohammad Atif ousted Sindh’s Faisal Rogatia in a nail-bitter 7 frames encounter. All the other matches were one sided except the match played between Atif and Faisal, which was starched to its limits.

Faisal though started the match really well and won the first frame by 56-27 but could not continue his winning spray as Atif won the second frame comprehensively by 60-7 but once again Faisal won back to back two frames by 75-54 and 44-27 to take 3-1 lead over Atif.

Mohammad Atif then furiously bounced back and won three successive frames by 59-54, 55-01 and 57-28 to win the match. Atif, after winning the match qualifies for the quarterfinal of the championship.

Along with Atif, defending champion Imran Shahzad also clear his ways into last eight as he defeated Khawaja Rizwan by 4-1.
