Winning start for Pakistan in Men, Women World throwball Championship

Pakistan Men and Women teams off to the winning start on the opening day of World throwball championship 2017 at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

In the opening match of Men’s category, Pakistan outplayed hosts Malaysia 2-0 while the Women team from Pakistan also defeated local counterparts Malaysia by 3-0. After winning the first match, Pakistani captain Shiraz Asif said we played exceptionally well and will try our best to attain success in the matches to come as well and for this our team members are fully prepared and mentally fit.

He thanked the team couches Rashida Gul, Adnan Khan, Sufian Ahmed and Rashid Gul for providing everything to train 9 member Pakistani squad. He also added that taking part in the tournament will provide more exposure to the Men in Green.

In the other matches, Indian Men outlasted Malaysia and Women throwball team from Sri Lanka defeated Indonesian team by 2-0.

Presedent Malaysian Throwball Federation, Dr. Mustapa Kamal Dato Seri was the chiefguest at the opening ceremony. World throwball Championship to be played in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from December 26 to 28.
