MMA fighter Bashir bags Gold in Bangkok JiuJitsu Championship

Another Pakistani star from PAK-MMA Bashir Ahmed wins gold medal in 85kg expert division category at Bangkok JiuJitsu Championships in Thailand.

Bahir Ahmed who is also known as Godfather of Pakistani MMA won the gold for third successive year in 85kg expert division category. Bashir Ahmed was born in Pakistan but left for US in his childhood. He also served in United States Army and he had a tour of Iraq with the US army in 2004-2005 and this is where he started studying the martial arts.

In 2009, Bashir moved back to Pakistan to promote the Mixed Martial Arts through his organization PAK-MMA. Bashir Ahmed was the first person to represent Pakistan in International MMA competitions and he first participated in the largest MMA league of Asia, ONE Championship in April 2013 and that time he outclassed the one of the favorites Shanoon “One Shin” Wriratchai.

His success has inspired many youngsters and they are following his footsteps and Mix Martial Arts is getting endorsement from all the corners in Pakistan today. After winning the gold he said “I dedicate my victory to the martyrs and real heroes of Pakistan, especially those especially to those son of soil who sacrificed their life for the beloved homeland and to my boys at SSG Pakistan Army. Long Live Pakistan”.
