PU clinch trophy in 41st inter university women athletic championship

Punjab University’s women athletes wins the title by securing 265 points while University of Sargodha stood second with 150 points and Lahore College for Women's University earned third position with 126 points.
Punjab University’s Saba Yousaf was declared best athlete of the event.

Saba grabbed 3 gold and 1 silver medal and earned 55 points. Beenish Munir from University of Sargodha got 52 points and Lahore College for Women University’s Ghazala obtained 48 points in the competitions.

The event was hosted by PU Department of Sports at WAPDA Sports Complex. Vice Chancellor Punjab University, Prof. Dr. Zafar Moeen Nasir, Director Institute of Education and Research Prof Dr Rifaqat Ali Akbar, Director Sports Dr Zafar Iqbal Butt, sports officials and a large number of players participated in prize distribution ceremony. Addressing the ceremony, Dr Zafar Moeen Nasir urged the students to bring country's name to limelight and promote positive image of Pakistan through sports. Later, prize were distributed among the payers.
