Ali Haider win silver in the Mall Jiu Jitsu Championship

Pakistani-Brazalian Jui Jitsu fighter Syed Muhammad Ali Haider earned two silver medals in the 85kg category at The Mall Jiu Jitsu Championships Thailand.

Jalalpur Shareef based fighter won the medals in Gi and No Gi competitions. Talking to the media Ali said he was 140kg two years ago but then he realized that he is wasting his talent and destroying his health so he gets the help from nutritionist Ayesha Khan and at the same time he also started practicing MMA with the coach Jahanzab Rashad ( Jazzie) at Rogue Fitness and MMA Lahore.

Waqar Umar, a good friend of Ali Haider who is also sign the One championship and well-known MMA fighter helped him to make his mind to practice Martial Arts and with these activities and a year training with coach Jazzie he reduces his weight to 85 KG. As “the Mall championship” was announced after 7 months of his training, his coach gets him ready for the competition in Bangkok for fight.

Debutant Ali Haider bagged 2 silver medals in the field of BBJ and raise Pakistan’s flag after Ahmed “Wolverine” Mujtaba. Ali’s first opponent was from Singapore and the other was from Thailand. The match was scheduled for 3 rounds and both the fights ended in the final round where Ali defeated his both opponents on points. All the best fighters from Asia participated in the event and at that stage winning a medal for him and his country was Ali Haider’s big achievement.

Ali dreamed of representing Pakistan on the international level and he succeeded on the biggest occasion on such a big platform. He also thanked his couch, his team 'Team Rogue' and the family for supporting him to achieve his dream.
