Ahmed ‘Wolverine’ wins 9th fight in MMA ONE championship

Pakistan’s No.1 Mix Martial Arts (MMA) fighter Ahmed “Wolverine” Mujtaba wins his 9th fight in world’s second biggest MMA organization, ONE Championship at Singapore.

Mujtaba overcomes China’s premier MMA fighter Li Kai Wen in the 1st round of the fight “immortal pursuit”. Kai Wen was declared disqualified as he five consecutive times punched on the back of Ahmed’s head in the 1st round.

Ahmed Mujtaba now holds the professional record of winning 9-1 games. In his massage, he was thankful for his coach Renato Velame who trained him for this fight. Quetta based fighter Ahmed fights for his Islamabad's Team Fight Fortress (TFF) Club and he was happy after winning the fight against his Chinese opponent. Mujtaba also extended his gratitude for his club and vowed to keep raising Pakistan's flag in future.

It is also to be mention here that many of the TFF fighters such as Uloomi Karim, Ahmed Mujtaba, Faizan Khan, Haider Farman and Mehmosh Raza are fighting on the International MMA platform.

Ahmed however was a bit disappointed over the lack of support from the government and the people at this stage but still he is hopeful that Mix martial arts would get more recognition, support and sponsorship in Pakistan now.
