Wapda Victories in National Karate Championship

Defending champions Wapda wins the 25th men and 11th women national karate championship title at Wapda Sports complex, Lahore.

All the 10 teams affiliated with Pakistan Karate Federation participated in the event. Men participated in 7 while women took part in 6 different categories. In Men’s event, Pakistan Wapda won the championship with 7 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze medal by overall 180 points. Pakistan Army remains 2nd with 95 points while khyber Pakhtunkhwa got 3rd position with 60 points.

In Women events, Wapda secured 1st position with 7 gold and 2 silver models. Wapda got 185 points. With 80 points, Army got 2nd position and with 75 points Sindh remains third.

It is pertinent to mention here that Pakistan Wapda in Men’s category defended the 21st successive title while women won 11th consecutive title. Secretary Wapda and President Wapda Sports board Mr. Aamir was chief guest of the prize distributing ceremony and he gave away trophies and prizes among the teams and players. board were also present on the occasion.

3 days championship was organized by Wapda Sports Board in collaboration with Pakistan Karate Federation.
