Winning start for Islamabad Jinnz, wild bears in the 15th PRU league Match
4 matches were decided in the 15th Servis Tyres rugby league played at different venues of Islamabad and Lahore under Pakistan Rugby Union.
Two matches were played at Pakistan Rugby Academy Lahore cantt while 2 other matches were played at F-10 rugby ground Islamabad. In first match of Division I, Islamabad Jinnz thrashed Lodhran by 64-3 while in another Division II match DHA wild bears beat Desert Camels rugby club by 37-17. Pakistan Army humiliated Lahore Rugby football club by 72-0. Another match of Division I was decided as Islamabad Jinnz defeated Lahore Hawks by 37-6.
Pakistan Rugby Union Chairmen pleased with the ongoing Servis Tyres Rugby League. On his statement he said Rugby is growing sports in Pakistan and this is very encouraging to watch. “World Rugby and Asian rugby officials are very much satisfied by our efforts towards promotion of Rugby in Pakistan” he added. He also thanked Servis Industries for their great support for 5 consecutive years.
