Six (6) teams have lined up to compete in the 2019 Independence Day Basketball Festival which is all set to begin today and will continue till 19th August at Arambagh Basketball Court, Karachi.

The information provided by Karachi Basketball Association (KBBA) President, Ghulam Mohammad Khan, states that Karachi Basketball Association (KBBA) is organizing a huge basketball festival with respect to the occasion of 73rd Independence Day of the nation, which has officially been named as "Independence Day Basketball Festival".
This tournament will see a total of six teams who will be incomplete action against each other, battling with all their skills so as to name top honors to their side in the tournament. The event will roll into action with an Under-19 clash between Quaid E Azam IX and Shaheed E Millat Liaquat Ali Khan IX teams. SSP South, Shiraz Nazir will inaugurate the event.
Another match on August 16th will see Fatima Jinnah XI and Benazir Bhutto XI teams battling for the victory. On the same day the boys event will begin with a match between Allama Iqbal XI and Sardar Abdur Rab Nishter XI teams.
Whereas, another event within this festival will also be organized where Kids will play the matches for which 24 probables have been announced and they have been advised to reach the basketball court at 05:00 PM sharp today.
Probables: Saad Salah Ud Din, Rafay Salah Ud Din, Muhammad Daniyal Khan, Talal Ahmed, Areeb Amjad, Muhammad Zaid, Muhammad Muaz, Noman Ahmed, Zian Asif, Rafay Asif, Ahmed Imran, Asad Hafeez, Ubaid Hafeez, Hasan Ali, Huzefa Amjad, Sameer Saleem, Ahsan Iqbal, Huzefa Iqbal, Haris Shahid, Huzefa Ameen, Muhammad Ali, Ashfaq, Mazhar , Ubaidur Rahman and Yash Kumar.
Independence Day Invitational Basketball Tournament will then be organized under the auspices of Abdul Nasir Academy on 19th of August and Junior Basketball Tournament will be held next month. A Tri-Partite Basketball event will also be held where teams from Karachi, Hyderabad and Tando Alayar will fight for the title victory.
