Raja emphasized the embarrassing nature of the loss, particularly against a New Zealand team that he described as not being a complete side. He highlighted the drastic turnaround in fortunes within 24 hours, from Pakistan's victory to suffering a defeat in the subsequent match.

Addressing Pakistan's batting performance, he urged the batters to capitalize on their starts and not throw away their wickets prematurely. He emphasized the need for longer innings and criticized the team's failure to post a competitive total, considering the pitch's potential for higher scores.
