Konnect by HBL Hosts Historic Tekken 8 Women’s Gaming Tournament

The inaugural Tekken 8 Women’s Gaming Tournament, organized by Konnect by HBL, provided a platform for both aspiring and established women gamers to showcase their skills and passion for the popular game 'Tekken'. Held in Lahore, the event attracted over 200 enthusiastic gamers, marking a significant milestone for HBL in its efforts to empower women in the esports industry and promote inclusivity.

The tournament, aimed at levelling the playing field and fostering a more inclusive esports scene in Pakistan, demonstrated HBL's commitment to connecting with the country's growing youth population. After hours of intense competition, the top three finalists emerged victorious, showcasing their gaming prowess and lightning-fast reflexes.

Ali Habib, Chief Marketing & Communications Officer at HBL, expressed his congratulations to all the women gamers for their skills and sportsmanship. He emphasized the tournament's significance in shaping Pakistan's esports landscape and affirmed Konnect by HBL's commitment to further deepening its association with esports. "Aur Khelo," he added, encouraging continued participation and engagement in the world of gaming.

The finishers of the tournament are as follows:

1st Place: Ambreen Riaz – Claiming the champion trophy and a grand prize of PKR 250,000.

2nd Place: Laiba Adnan – Taking home the runner-up prize of PKR 150,000.

3rd Place: Hina Malik – Earning third-place honours and a prize of PKR 100,000.
